I also want to develop recycling to save money on the Council Tax. I want to find ways to make sure great events like the Kite Festival continue to take place.

I’m planning to give politics 15 years, so I’m going to stick at it. I would urge people to vote on local issues. My number 1 priority is jobs, my other priorities for Haverstoe residents are extending recycling to keep down the cost of the council tax, maintaining an extending events like the kite festival, and pushing regeneration.

All the more reason that local construction work should go to local people whenever possible.

To be honest, I am critical of those who don’t want to read my leaflet when I push it through. I can’t criticise anyone who does not want to vote for if they have looked at what the three candidates have got to say and then decided to vote for someone else. As long as they have thought about their vote.

Why can work not have been done by local people. Other local authorities give their people the chance to get this work, so can we.

However, I do not think they are proactive enough for the area. I would like to see them using their position to speak out for jobs and an improvement in services.

I think they have a passive approach rather than an active one. I notice they are claiming credit for the Humber Bridge tolls going down. I do not recall any of the 3 Tories speaking out about this before the toll came down. I did. For evidence of this please see the campaigning section of my website.

The issue is how will we pay for it?

We need to explore funding from those who benefit, such as Pleasure Island, Thorpe Park. We also need to explore getting those who depend on Tourism to have a big voice in how we publicise the town.
